Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enable motion sensors?
On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness and make sure it is turned on. Then reopen FlatFinder and tap "Enable Motion Sensors" if prompted.
How do I calibrate the level?
Place your device on a known level surface (or on your RV's floor), then tap "Quick Calibrate" on the home screen. For more precise calibration, use "Full Calibration" which guides you through a multi-step process.
What are vehicle profiles?
Profiles store your vehicle's measurements (axle distances, hitch height) and block inventory. This lets FlatFinder calculate exactly how many leveling blocks you need at each wheel or hitch point.
Does FlatFinder need an internet connection?
No. FlatFinder works completely offline. All data stays on your device. This is especially useful at campgrounds with poor connectivity.
Does FlatFinder collect any data?
No. FlatFinder collects zero personal data, has no analytics, no tracking, and no servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Tips for Best Results
- Calibrate on a known level surface before your first use
- Place your phone in the same spot each time you level
- Keep the phone still during calibration for best accuracy
- Set up your block inventory in your vehicle profile so the Leveling Assistant can recommend the right blocks
