What Data FlatFinder Collects
FlatFinder is a fully offline utility app. It does not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other identifying information.
Motion Sensor Data
FlatFinder uses your device's built-in accelerometer and gyroscope to measure pitch and roll angles for leveling purposes. This sensor data is:
- Processed entirely on your device in real time
- Never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere
- Discarded the moment you close the app
No motion data ever leaves your device.
Vehicle Profiles & Settings
When you create a vehicle profile (name, vehicle type, measurements, block inventory) or change your settings, this information is saved locally on your device using your phone's built-in storage. It is:
- Stored only on your device
- Never uploaded to any server
- Never shared with third parties
- Deleted when you uninstall the app
Analytics & Tracking
FlatFinder contains no analytics, no crash reporting services, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not know how many people use the app, how often they use it, or what features they use.
Internet Connection
FlatFinder does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests. It works entirely offline. There are no servers for your data to be sent to.
Children's Privacy
FlatFinder does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected, FlatFinder is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate significant changes to this policy.
